Our optometrists use their wealth of clinical knowledge and experience to perform thorough eye tests, carefully monitoring and diagnosing our patients’ vision and ocular health. Our optical assistants are trained to answer any queries you may have in a welcoming and friendly manner, and to help select the perfect glasses for you.
He has over 30 years of clinical experience, both through running the practice as well as work in hospital eye departments. He has also been to Ethiopia and Uganda with Vision Aid Overseas, a charity we continue to support with donations of old glasses.
Robert is currently an examiner for the College of Optometry for the professional qualifying examinations. His areas of interest include eye disease and rigid gas permeable (hard) contact lenses.
In 2015, Michelle was a finalist in the UK-wide AOP ‘Newly Qualified Optometrist of the Year’ Award, short-listed by a panel of expert judges. Her award-winning university dissertation on ‘Risk Factors and Treatments for Diabetic Retinopathy’ was published in the Optician journal, and her review of ‘Colorimetry in Vision and Education’ was published in Optometry Today. She has also supervised on courses for pre-registration optometrists.
Carla is an experienced optical assistant who, as well as being a capable receptionist, is also able to adjust and repair glasses.
Carla is on first name terms with many of our patients and she takes pride in getting to know each and every patient. Carla is passionate about travelling and enjoys dancing.
